He’s famous for looking as good today as he did when he first started out in Hollywood in 1979.
And in the new issue of Men’s Health magazine, Rob Lowe details how he manages to stay in incredible shape and seemingly untouched by the passage of time.
The actor, 54, says that when he looks in the mirror, he sees looking back at him the man that he was at age 28, explaining: ‘I feel exactly like that guy. And I see him.’
It’s not just that he wills himself to stay looking and feeling young.
He also sticks to a strict diet and fitness regimen and embraces an outdoor lifestyle.
He also takes great care of himself and his appearance.
‘I’m vain as f***,’ he tells Men’s Health. bandar ceme online
Lowe first found fame as part of the 1980s Brat Pack with films such as The Outsiders, St. Elmo’s Fire, Oxford Blues and About Last Night….
As his celebrity grew, so did his addiction to alcohol and his career was derailed by a notorious sex tape in 1988.
In 1990, at the age of 26, he got sober and a year later he married his wife Sheryl Berkoff.
He turned to exercise to keep him on the straight and narrow.
‘It became an outlet for all of the tension, stresses, compulsivity,’ he explained. ‘I funneled the addiction, frankly, into that.’
These days, he sticks to a low-carb diet and typically starts each day, according to the magazine, with a 45-minute Peloton bike ride or a run followed by weight lifting and circuit training.
He is also an avid surfer, after being introduced to the sport by his two sons with Berkoff, Matthew, 25, and John Owen, 23.
Next up, he stars in the British TV drama series Wild Bill and the big screen romantic drama Christmas In The Wild, both due for release later this year.
